consequences
Action begets reaction. Cause yearns for effect. The nature of will.
Some people seem to move through life completely unaware of their actions. It's actually baffling at times. You'll be walking behind someone in the supermarket and they hit an about-face directly in front of you and proceed to give you the stank face for being in THEIR way. Like??? Huh. Not to be a dick but who in their right mind would make a U-turn in the middle of a road?
Could just be me but I tend to operate my shopping cart like a car. Stick to the right side of the aisle (left in the left-handed places), slow down before the ends of aisles where the view is blocked, use the bigger aisles as thoroughfare rather than a place to chat with a neighbor I haven't seen in weeks. And like not stop in the middle of aisle or intersection.
I swear there is a significant portion of the population that are still coming to terms with being sentient. A piece of toast has more spatial awareness. At least it knows when to get out of the toaster on time. I be getting stopped by people STOPPING IN THE DOORWAY. WITH NO OTHER WAY AROUND. LIKE MOVE B*TCH. FFS.
Okay. Rant over. What I'm really getting at here is that more people than we would like to admit are, quite frankly, not that bright. They will do things with absolutely zero awareness for the repercussions. I guess that's not spatial awareness but temporal. Either way. It's like there are people that have no idea what a pattern is. They can do the same thing over and over again and every time it's completely different to them. I don't know if that would be blissful or hell. It's like if life was an infinite loop, but you didn't remember each time. Would you ever need to live a different life? It'll always be new.
Perhaps these people are more in tune with the biggest picture than I first anticipated. Maybe they are just simply content. They don't need any more. They are perfectly fine going through the motions. Maybe that's the point of presence.
(I almost just reached for my phone to see if my crush texted me... I'm trying not to do that as much because I am finding that the more I value my own life, the more she seems to value me. It's like if I do what I want and love doing it, I will only do things I want and love doing. cough her cough, not her texting me literally as I typed that... wtf.)
See the thing is, checking my phone and not seeing a notification is something I DON'T want to do. So if I do it, then it is what I want to do. Meaning, I'm bound to repeat that pattern. And as a result, will use that information to determine what I am deserving of, further reinforcing that pattern. Resonance is a slippery slope. That also means it can most certainly work in our favor too. Realizing that is half the battle. The other half is using that information to reinforce the pattern to find more information that further reinforces that pattern.
(Just checked my phone... sigh)
